This Grade 5 Titanium Grinder is coming in HOT from Australia where Old Mate Designs created the blueprint for this beauty, and also where it’s manufactured and shipped from. This super unique Herb grinder hands down wins the innovation award because of its ball bearing frictionless design which is amazingly easy to use whether you are an arthritic old man with barely any strength or a hulking muscle man on a boat. In fact, it’s a standard skateboard bearing and as soon as mine arrived today I used the special bearing replacement tool to change mine to a top of the line Bones Swiss Ceramic Bearing that spins on and on. Aroma 3 Herb Grinder has super strong and sharp teeth that should stay sharp for a lifetime or more. So if you get the Titanium Herb Grinder, be prepared to pass it down to your great grand kids one day. The closing mechanism uses a combination of ridges In the design with rare earth magnets to easily yet firmly connect or separate the three pieces. It’s super satisfying to have magnets that work so damn well. I personally greatly prefer a three piece grinder over all other models because I like to enjoy my herb with the pollen mixed in throughout the grind. Screens need regular cleaning and eventually replacing and it also takes up space, so going without the screen allows the Aroma 3 to sit low like a shiny sports car, and when the grinding stops that bitch keeps spinning!! Old Mate Designs also makes the Aroma 3 in a Stainless Steel Grinder and they make an Aroma 2 piece herb grinder in Stainless Steel as well. In fact - Stainless Steel Grinders are the BASE model at Old Mate, they don’t even bother with Aluminum. Other herb grinder companies wish they could be in the same league as Old Mate Designs, but OMD is in the Himalayas doin’ boss shit and everyone else is at base camp trying to stay warm in their snuggies. ALL of OMD‘s herb grinders are top picks for any Herb enthusiast, Whether you grab the base model medical grade 304 stainless steel Herb grinder or invest in the grade 5 titanium grinder, you will be thrilled with this Herb Grinder, I can guarantee that!! Click the link button below to visit Old Mate’s site and see for yourself why this herb grinder is so special. It’s my number one pick in this category and number one pick overall (BOOP)
Keefer is a slang term for anything high quality, and also coincidentally is a German baby name meaning Barrel Maker, so now you’re educated on that!! You should know right away that this fully magnetic Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) Titanium Herb Grinder is only one of THREE Titanium Herb grinders available WORLDWIDE and although manufactured elsewhere, Keefer Reaper the Company is based out of Florida, USA. The other two Titanium Herb Grinders are from Old Mate Designs based out of Australia, and CAPU based out of Germany. We’ve had the Keefer Reaper “The Titanium Reaper” Herb Grinder in a sexy and understated Satin Polish for about a month now using on the regular! You can feel confident that Virginia Herb has truly taken this Herb Reaper through a grueling test run to make sure that it’s going to be a worthy investment for everyone reading this. Coming in at 2.5in x 1.62in and weighing only 10.6oz the Titanium Keefer Reaper is definitely an extra medium Herb Grinder and I was able to process about a maximum of 2 dense grams at a time without having to worry about herb spillage between the top and middle sections, especially when getting the grind started. The design is fully magnetic with each of three sections fitting and clicking together like clockwork - every time without fail. There is zero slip between the bottom and middle sections when grinding because of a hex pattern connection that keeps things in place and gives you a super solid feel. This Hex pattern connection is much like the very popular Brilliant Cut Grinder from Canada. The grind plate on this Titanium Herb Grinder contains two circles of extremely sharp teeth that resemble Diamond Blades that have been warped to look more like Lightning Bolts; giving the blades gnarly tips and edges that really process your Herb to a beautiful Medium to Fine mound every time with consistency! The grind plate does have a center pillar, but it’s unique concave square shape makes it so that you can actually load your bud right on top of the center post. Never once did Keefer Reaper Titanium squish the Herb instead of grinding it properly. Ideally we would want to see a future design that removed the center pillar completely, but on this model Virginia Herb can certify with confidence that this Herb Beast can get it done with the pillar in place. The only true drawback that Virginia Herb was able to isolate after a month of heavy use was that the slide ring which fits between the top and the middle section gained more and more friction throughout the month while grinding. That is - it became harder to turn, but not difficult by any means. A new slide ring would be an improvement, but to keep this current model working flawlessly - simply clean the ring with 100% isopropyl and a Q-Tip about every two weeks or when you notice the friction increasing. Also, after cleaning with the isopropyl, add a dab of Hemp Oil to a Q-Tip and run it along on top of the slide ring and this baby will really get to grinding! Virginia Herb wants to remind everyone that this Titanium Herb Grinder will indeed last your ENTIRE lifetime and probably that of your children too, so you might want to name the damn thing. Backing up this claim is Keefer Reaper’s Lifetime Warranty against manufacturer defects that guarantees this family heirloom to work not just for many moons, but for all the damn moons, when given just basic care. If you’ve been looking for the next level of Herb Grinding, this timeless piece by Keefer Reaper is a must have, a conversation starter, a keepsake, a totem… and will outlast all of us.
The ZAM FullMag is Norfolk Virginia based ZAM’s brand new innovative Herb Grinder that is held together entirely by rare earth magnets - no threads!! One of the major concerns that Virginia Herb had with ZAM’s previous grinders was that they used threaded connections, but with ZAM’s new release, There are no threads to get clogged and cross-threaded and it’s just as important to note that there is no center post to get in the way either. Much like the Brilliant Cut Grinder which Virginia Herb has also reviewed, you can place a big herb bud right in the middle of the grinder plate and not have to worry about squishing your herb or compromising the functionality of the herb grinder. Out of the packaging using the FullMag for the first time, we were thrilled at how efficiently the herb was processed; there was virtually no residual herb in the grinder plate when done turning! One of the reasons for this is that the trapezoid shaped teeth of the grinder plate are very sharp and the drop holes are well placed too allowing the fluffy kinetic sand like consistency of the herb to fall through with ease when it’s ready. With a name like FullMag, Virginia Herb had pretty high expectations about how the herb grinder would be secured together and we were not let down! The magnets hold the herb grinder’s pieces together strongly, especially the connection between the herb catch bottom piece and the middle piece grinder plate - it almost has a suction to it when you separate the pieces - and I love the attention to detail and options there are for switching out the O-Rings to adjust the pull strength required to separate the pieces. There’s definitely nothing else like that on the market. Coming in at 2.2 inches in diameter, this herb grinder gets classified as extra medium, maybe a bit too big for a pocket, but just the right size for daily use at home. The Herb Grinder comes in Aluminum and 304 Stainless Steel and Pre orders for this unique and innovative Herb Grinder start at the beginning of April 2024 so take advantage of the 20% off being offered right now and reserve yours today by clicking the link below!
Flower Mill has been busy! Virginia Herb recently reviewed the OG Flower Mill Herb Grinder, and now they’ve released a Premium New Edition Herb Grinder and we are really excited to review this beautiful piece for you! The New edition grinder we received is working extremely well, we can definitely tell that the milling is smoother and more efficient compared to the OG Flower Mill because we haven’t had any squished buds at all which does happen sometimes, although rare, with the OG model. We also love the interchangeable grinder plates and have been using the #2 a lot for cones which comes out super evenly processed and looking beautiful. #2 is pretty fine, but you can go more coarse if you would prefer by easily switching to the #4 or #5 for very course milled herb. Its definitely worth mentioning that all of the interchangeable grinder plates are Stainless Steel, so even if you get the Aluminum model of the Premium Flower Mill, you can rest assured that the milling plate coming in most contact with your herb is going to last a long time, stay sharp, and do its job when you need it to! Definitely check out the new Premium Flower Mill, and check out Virginia Herb’s OG Flower Mill Review below:
OG Flower Mill Review:
Here’s a very unique Herb grinder that you should definitely check out, if you haven’t already! Right off the bat, I want to mention I got the stainless steel grinder addition, so I am stoked about the quality of the piece. Although it’s not 100% stainless steel, you will see that all of the pieces that actively grind the herb are all stainless steel so it’s all Gucci as far as long term grinding quality goes. You will notice right away that the flower mill herb grinder isn’t designed like any other grinder you’ve ever seen out there because it uses a milling plate, think cheese grater, that slices off little shards of herb as you rotate and put pressure on the Herb you’ve loaded. It actually works super well, and i was delighted to try it many more times… and it’s STILL on my desk because it’s easy to use and the Herb Chamber is a good size compared to other Medium Grinders its size, and even some of the Large Grinders too! The milled herb is flaky and has volume to it, it smokes well too and I like all that obviously. The magnet holding the lid closed does its job well and keeps the top piece connected even when it’s turned on its head. The only thing about this Herb Grinder that is not top dog is the fact that it still uses a thread lock connecting mechanism for its bottom herb chamber. However, the threads are BIG and super easy to open and close. After using for several weeks I haven’t had any problems with the threads so I’m going to go ahead and say that it’s not really a problem area -but, I hope to see upgrades to this connection in the near future that could make this piece even that much better! For now, its still a buy recommendation from me, and this is in the top 3 grinders in the world in my opinion, get one today and start Milling your Herb by clicking the link below and using the code “VIRGINIAHERB” for a discount!
I just placed my order for a large Stainless steel brilliant cut grinder with medium grind plate, I’m super stoked because this grinder has received excellent reviews from around the budverse. Update!! It’s been 8 weeks since I ordered the Large Stainless Steel Brilliant Cut Grinder from Canada and it’s finally in the mail, I’m very excited to receive this sought after grinder soon!
IASO has made a very cool 100% stainless steel 3 piece herb grinder! Each stainless steel grinder is CNC machined at their workshop in Essex Junction, Vermont. This herb grinder has some unique designs that are refreshing to see. First, I want to point out the design of the grinding chamber - I’ve never seen another like it, and it allows for a mix of medium and fine grind to fall through. The diamond blades are sharp AF and set up in an interesting pattern, in a way I haven’t seen before. The magnet is very strong and closes the top securely and firmly. The bottom modular bud catch uses a very thick thread design that allows for quick, steady and easy locking and unlocking of the Modular piece - I like that because it’s easy to clean and it’s easy to use. lastly I want to mention that the actual herb grinding went smoothly because of the connection of the design pieces; allowing for less friction and less effort needed to grind. Be sure to keep this one clean and do not overload the grind chamber because it will not work well and will be a real problem to clean. I rate this herb grinder very highly, and place it in the top half of grinders on my list for sure.
As they supposedly say in Australia; stay home and punch cones! I was sent a weird ass sticker that says this slogan so it must be true! This handsome stainless steel herb grinder is called The MightyRoo, as in Kangaroo, and is a well made 100% stainless steel piece that comes in 4 modular pieces. The kangaroo comes engraved in the stainless steel herb grinders top which is a nice touch, and on the bottom is the production number 1-500 for this third edition grinder. After using this herb grinder several times now, I have noticed that completely clearing the grinding chamber during grinding is kind of hard to do, it seems like no matter how many times I rotate the herb grinder, there is always a little ground up herb left in the grinding chamber. I always brush my herb grinders after ever use, so this wasn’t a detrimental problem, I was able to just easily brush the remaining herb out onto the tray. The real issue I have with this stainless steel grinder is the threads, It Takes a few turns to unlock and lock each modular piece, aside from the top which uses an magnetic force that is strong and works nicely. With fine threads like this, it’s really important to keep them clean after each use by brushing the piece well, and it’s going to still need regular cleaning like any herb grinder with isopropyl 99%. On a positive note, the stainless steel grinder actually has really sharp teeth and since it’s stainless steel it should last and stay sharp for many many years to come. Keep a polishing cloth nearby if you decide to upgrade your grinding game to this shiny piece, and like I said earlier - definitely invest in a grinder brush. Currently the Grinderoo MightyRoo is sitting on my desk and will continue to enjoy some occasional uses, but due to the threaded design, I’m not sure how much I’ll be choosing this one for my herb grinding ritual. Grinderoo also makes a wooden grinder, and several aluminum grinders that are worth taking a look at too - so click the link below to be taken directly to their website.
We have a large grinder here, it definitely can hold a good amount of Herb. It’s a Limited Edition Aluminum Metal Grinder from Phoenician Grinders called the “Super Moon“ edition and given very cool anodized colors for each modular section with a classy cocaine white exterior. Aside from its beauty, this Large Grinder is a true workhorse; made from aircraft grade aluminum and anodized it’s both lightweight and strong. The blades are worth mentioning because of their unique design which uses razor sharp blades to cut and slice the herb rather than mash and smash it. With such sharp teeth this monster Large Grinder can easily grind up a full load of herb with barely any effort put forth. I like that, it makes the grinder feel powerful and it’s refreshing when something you buy actually does what it claims to do time and time again. Another unique feature of the Phoenician Aluminum Grinder is the quick lock locking mechanism that keeps the modular sections in place. It’s definitely quick, and it’s easy to see where it should line up when it’s closed. One small drawback to this locking mechanism is that you need to keep it clean because once soiled a bit the sections don’t quite line up all the way perfectly anymore, but that’s a picky take on a very innovative closing mechanism. Compared to a standard thread lock system, the Phoenician Large Grinder offers a big step up in a locking system that’s intuitive and easy to use. Since 2015, this American company has delivered high quality herb grinders that many people consider are among the best in the world. I first got mine about 6 years ago, and I still have it - it still cuts like butter, and I’ve only had to replace the screen once - which by the way was super easy and Phoenician offers three different micron screens depending on the environment you live in and the herb you smoke. My only complaint is that there are very small chips off the anodized finish on the razor blades that have occurred over the last many years and when compared to stainless steel and titanium, this Aluminum grinder just doesn’t quite measure up for top herb grinder in the pack, despite all of its amazing features and benefits. It’s definitely top half worldwide though and I personally have three, so grab one today while you can - the super moon edition is already sold out of small size, but there’s lots more to choose from - click the link button below to go directly to Phoenician Grinder’s site
Mama P’s bills itself as the best herb grinder for arthritic and weak hands, and it has received numerous awards from reputable cannabis publications. This Herb Grinder is also the largest herb grinder I have tested by quite a bit - it’s HUGE! Apparently a larger diameter gives the user more torque when grinding. Mama P’s says it’s made from recycled aircraft aluminum, but doesn’t go into details about the specific metallurgical qualities. We know that compared with stainless steel and titanium, Aluminum just doesn’t stand the test of time. Still, everything but the screen is covered by a lifetime warranty which is pretty nice. The screen doesn’t look easy to replace, and Mama P said she would replace your screen… FOR MONEY, but didn’t say how much. As I hold this very large grinder I can tell you it is indeed lightweight for its size yet doesn’t feel cheap at all. The herb grinder feels well built which definitely can’t be said about all aluminum herb grinders I’ve used. One benefit of having such a large grinder is you can grind more herb at a time, enough for a whole squad! After using this herb grinder many times though, I feel that the grinding action is definitely not as smooth as other top herb grinders I’ve used, it feels like metal on metal which is what’s happening with that snug fitting lid. Another drawback I have with Mama P’s herb grinder is that it still uses traditional threads for its compartments. Not only that, but they’re hella SMALL threads and it takes several turns to unlock a compartment from another one. Another important question here is why the splat color herb grinders cost twice as much as the standard plain herb grinder that they sell, but hey if you like that drip style paint then go for it homie! This large grinder lands somewhere in the top half of the ones I’ve reviewed, but with the drawbacks I’ve mentioned I just can’t understand what all the hype is about. Find out for yourself, click the link below to be taken directly to Mama P’s and her wholesome site!
Space case is an American company that makes their grinders in the good ‘ole USA and is proud of it! Their pieces are all aluminum, despite their intentional tricky marketing which tries to confuse you into thinking they sell a titanium grinder - - spoiler alert, they do NOT. They sell a COLOR that is called “titanium” and it’s made from aluminum just like the rest of their grinders. Here’s another punch in the face; their choice in grinder metal, according to the company is a “special edition” mystery alloy that is not disclosed. Now, I am a believer that a grinder company should have to disclose the metal used for making their products because all of us out there are ingesting the Herb Gas and I want to know what kind of metal is making mad contact with my Herb During my grinding ritual. I think I already have enough mysteries in my life so Space Case better suit up and tell me! This Herb grinder does actually have some reasonably cool features - it’s about the same large diameter as the biggest grinders I’ve tested including Mama P’s which is only slightly larger. This Large Grinder can really load down with herb and still shred like crazy. Also. space case has a good design for their grinding plate that constantly pushes the herb back towards the center of mass and allows for a great herb grind Without any chunks. Overall, this is a descent herb grinder to add to your collection for occasional use when you need to grind up a big cola for you and squad.
Pax has made a very well designed and handsome Herb Grinder that could either fit in your pocket for when you‘re out and about, or use at home to grind up enough for a few bowls or joints. The size is definitely Extra Medium, and it’s a square grinder which is super unique and quirky. I want to point out that the magnets are very strong and I really like that, this is an all magnet connection piece with no threads and that is the future homie. The diamond blades shred up the herb really well and I want to point out that you should be careful not to overload this herb grinder because it will get in the way of the top magnet and your herb will get squished instead of ground. Aside from that, the grinder plate holes are about extra medium as well, sticky herb will take a little more grinding and you may not be able to clear the grinder plate of all your herb - so invest in a good grinder brush because you will definitely need it with this herb grinder if your stash is sticky icky. The bottom chamber is really large and well designed with a lip as well to keep all your ground up herb safely cradled in the herb holding bowl. The herb grinder is all aluminum but Pax didn‘t spend any time or effort at all in detailing the specs for this grinder, so we have to guess what grade aluminum it is - it’s a scooby doo mystery metal as far as I’m concerned. Overall I’m actually moderately impressed with the grinder mainly because it’s a square design that is pretty quirky but does work, and the fact that it’s a hybrid extra medium size that works either on go when your boolin‘ around getting weird, or at home when you‘re taking a herb break to smoke your favorite Sativa. The price is very reasonable for this herb grinder, so consider grabbing one for yourself and add a nice square herb grinder to your collection!
Smoke Honest has developed and released their first edition of a very large and unique Herb Grinder. This is the only Herb Grinder that incorporates blown glass into the design that I have reviewed so far, so I’m stoked about this gargantuan aluminum and glass herb grinder. The first time I used it, I loaded several grams of herb in there and it performed amazingly, chopping up the herb easily and efficiently. The grind is big to medium chunks and there’s no option to change out the grinder plate. The herb grinder is made from aluminum as I mentioned earlier, but I contacted the company and they confirmed that a stainless steel option is coming soon. They also confirmed that the glass is borosilicate which is much stronger than standard glass. One unique feature of this herb grinder is that the bottom glass segment attaches the rest if the grinder with a gasket made from some kind of plastic/rubber material. So it’s a friction connection, and I hope that it doesn’t wear out over time but since it’s new we will have to wait and see. I do like that i can see the ground up herb through the glass bottom segment, it’s the only grinder like it that I know about and it’s not a bad price. Definitely worth adding to your collection - check out Honest‘s website below and get a discount! Use code BRIAN11866 for 15% off.
Say hello to Qubus, the Square herb grinder. This herb grinder is heavy, first impressions are that for an aluminum grinder, there is no way it should be this heavy! I’m not sure whats going on with the materials but it’s definitely a paper weight as well as a grinder. one positive about this square grinder is that you can use the whole grinding plate because the design allows for center loading, which is really nice! Once I started grinding through, I realized I do not like the way that this action feels at all. The two magnets holding the lid on, act almost as a weird stopper while you’re grinding and it feels super clumsy and unnatural. I also found that the grinder holes were a bit too large for me, the herb came out chunky after the grind was complete. That’s a shame because this is really a handsome grinder and I wanted to like it very much. Based on the negatives that I mentioned, this herb grinder winds up in honorable mention, if you’re interested in checking out their site for yourself - click the link below to be taken directly to Qubus.
When I received the HOJ KLIP I was really excited to unbox and check it out because there are a lot of positive reviews out there on this one. I really wanted to love this herb grinder, mainly because it offers some new designs to the world of grinding herb. This herb grinder uses a cutting/slicing mechanism rather than a grinding or mashing mechanism. It makes use of magnets throughout the design which in theory is convenient, but in practice makes the brass and stainless steel grinder feel clumsy and difficult to operate. It’s especially clumsy to put back together sometimes if you don’t have the magnets lined up because it actually gives a repelling force and pushes away what you’re trying to close. I contacted the company in mid January 2024 to discuss some of my concerns with the Herb grinder and I was told that there is a new locking mechanism in the works that will be in their next version of the Herb grinder coming out at the end of this year so stay tuned! HOJ’s next version of their herb grinder will be called the “KLIP GO”
This is a medical grade stainless steel grinder that has received some positive reviews on the invisible web net. However, here’s the problem - I really can’t add another herb grinder to this list that has thin traditional thread locks for connecting all of its modular pieces. Despite the fact that this is a handsome herb grinder that is made of very fine medical grade stainless steel, its still an outdated design compared to the dope ass innovative herb grinders that are on my review list. With this said, this stainless steel grinder can’t compete with the more innovative and effective locking mechanisms out there.
